1989 Corpus Christi Prefreshman Engineering Program (CC PREP) Del Mar College will identify high ability high school and middle school students with the potential and interest in becoming engineers and scientists. The program will focus on logic and applications to mathematics; algebraic structures; topics in problem solving; introduction to engineering, and computer science. This nine week program (June 5, 1989 to August 4, 1989) will select 120 students from grades 8 to 11 with current academic averages of "B" or better from the Coastal Bend Region of Texas. There are no fees involved. Since 1987, 148 students have successfully completed at least one summer of PREP at Del Mar College.
