Southwest Missouri State University will initiate a four- week summer residential Young Scholars Program having interdisciplinary focus for 30 students entering grades nine and ten in the state of Missouri.Emphasis is placed on environmental issues associated with sanitary landfills. Participants will develop a scientific understanding of environmental issues and ethical solutions to environmental problems through classroom, field, laboratory, and research activities.
