9353007 Petry The University of Oklahoma will initiate a 4-week, residential, Young Scholars project in mathematics and the natural sciences for 24 students entering the 12th grade. This program represents the second of two summer programs. A learning summer" will precede the YSP (funded by state monies). In the YSP, participants will be mentored by a University of Oklahoma faculty member. Participants will prepare both written and oral reports on their research to be presented to their peers at the end of the program. Additional activities include career exploration and ethics of science discussions. ***
