Students are gaining a better understanding of calculus from practical classroom demonstrations and from problem-solving experience gained in a laboratory setting. They are accomplishing this using a computer laboratory with networked IBM PS/2 computers running the computer algebra system MAPLE. The institution will provide funds to match this grant.
