This award permits attendance by the Principal Investigator at, and participation in, the International Symposium on Surface Waves in Solids and Layered Structures to be held 1-4 July 1986, in Novisibirsk, USSR. This would permit interaction with collegues in these fields from all countries and assessment of the state of knowledge and current research interests in this important field.
