This award supports a workshop that will set the foundations for the next phases of large-scale, multi-agent systems research from two directions. First, it will build on strengths, specifying the most critically needed and most promising new, integrative theories, models, and practices for designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems, by extending multi-agent paradigms. Second, it will explore new directions, visions and models for post-multi-agent systems in very large interconnected networks and infrastructures. The aim of the workshop is to develop a 10-year research plan for multi-agent systems.
