This award is made to The Magic Lantern for the complete production, 16 mm color with full sound track consisting of narration, dialogue, original music, sound effects (and animation, if any) of a 25-30 minute film focusing on the Engineering Research Centers. The film's purpose is to stimulate interest in NSF's Engineering Research Centers and their relevance to international industrial competitiveness-- highlighting their varied programs for research, education, and industrial liaison. The intended audience for this film is Engineering schools, Industry, Professional societies and Civic leaders.
