This award is for support of a travel grant for five scientists to participate in an international planning workshop for Cenozoic Investigations in the Western Ross Sea (CIROS) Phase II to be held at the Research School for Earth Sciences, Victoria, University of Wellington, Wellington, New Zealand, May 10-15, 1992. CIROS Phase II is a multi-national program to investigate an array of earth history and paleoclimate problems by stratigraphic drilling in the wester Ross Sea. This meeting will consider the scientific, technical, logistic, and fiscal aspects of CIROS Phase II.
