This proposal is to study a number of aspects of quantum computation. The PI will examine the effects of direct qubit-qubit interactions on the performance of three types a quantum computers, the nature of error correction, the stabilization of Schroedinger cats and whether and how a quantum computer can simulate a classically chaotic system.
