Abstract OPP-9707905 LeMoine The purpose of this project is to initiate the identification and documentation of photographs taken between 1908 and 1954 in the Thule district of Greenland by explorer Donald B. MacMillan. These photographs, now in the Peary-MacMillan Arctic Museum at Bowdoin College, depict MacMillan's exploratory expeditions as well as everyday life in Greenland. This award fundq an initial field trip to assess the feasibility of a larger ethnohistorical/anthropological project.
