Developmental effort was expended for the evaluation of a double-resonance surface coil probe for 19F/31P and of an 1H/31P probe. The design philosophy behind the probe circuitry is to minimize the loses of the phosphorous channel. Both of the probes have very similar constraints in that they rely upon a parallel-tuned element at the sample that must be tuned and matched by remote circuitry. Minimization of channel cross-talk has proven to be a difficult task.
