This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing theresources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject andinvestigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source,and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed isfor the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator.Additional 5-year study extension (steps 5 and 6) of subjects participating in follow-up of AIDS Clinical Trial Group 362, a trial originally designed to study the effect of discontinuation of azithromycin prophylaxis for Mycobacterium avium-complex (MAC) infection in subjects who had an antiretroviral treatment-associated increase in CD4 counts from <50 cells/mm3 to >100 cells/mm3.
