The goal of the vaccine to treat chronic cocaine abuse is to produce cocaine-specific antibodies and reduce the concentration of cocaine available in the human brain, in order to prevent the subjective and reinforcing effects of the drug. We will use PET neuroimaging to assess the efficacy of the cocaine vaccine.
