The objective of the present Master Agreement is to identify population- based resources for the study of the epidemiology of cancer. Specifically, factors will be identified which increase the risk of cancer development in human populations. Such studies may for example be conducted by the follow- up in population-based cancer registries of groups of persons assumed to be at high risk. Additional in-depth studies may be conducted with the aim of obtaining detailed information on exposure.
