The Contractor shall by using existing records, identify, examine, and characterize what is known about the contribution of natural carcinogenic substances in foods and water to human cancer risk. The Contractor shall characterize the magnitude of exposure to naturally occurring substances nationally, and identify the populations commonly affected by these substances. The Contractor shall also develop a basis to compare natural and synthetic chemicals and estimate the contribution of naturally occurring substances in food, water, and other critical sources of potential exposure to human risk. Using current data, compare the relative cancer risks from exposure to naturally occurring and synthetic substances.
