Abstract

This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. Several site-mutagenesis on hydrogen bonds of Cp rubredoxin have been studied and reduction potentials of these mutants are reported recently. Paramagnetic NMR is powerful to examine the H bonds associated with reduction potential of Cp rebredoxin. In addition, rubredoxin in reverse micelles in liquid propane provides the wider temperature-dependent study of hyperfine shifts.
