This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. Fkh1 is a transcriptional activator that is cell-cycle regulated. Previous studies have found that it activates genes such as the cyclin Clb2. Although the DNA binding domain is well described, the functions of the other domains are less well characterized. We will screen for two hybrid interactions with a domain of the Fkh1 protein.
