This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. Over the last year, our work has focused on three general areas: 1) inter-specific (tamarins vs marmosets) differences in context-sensitive discounting (e.g., waiting longer for larger amounts of food), 2) the role of auditory feedback in mediating vocal production in tamarins, and 3) the capacity of tamarins to extract complex grammatical patterns from artificially created grammars.
