Using various methods, we will attempt to determine the immunologic capacity of T cells from HIV+ individuals. In addition to decreased numbers of CD4+ T cells, it has been suggested that there is also a qualitative defect. Therefore, T cells from HIV+ individuals will be examined carefully and compared with those from normal individuals.
