"DakotaLink High Performance Network Connection in Support of Meritorious Research" PI: Bonnie Neas North Dakota State University, Fargo, ND ANI-9810225

This award is made under the high performance connections portion of ANIR's "Connections to the Internet" announcement, NSF 96-64. It provides partial support for two years for a DS-3 connection to the vBNS for five institutions in Dakotas: North Dakota State University (Fargo), University of North Dakota (Grand Forks), South Dakota School of Mines and Technology (Rapid City), South Dakota State University (Brookings), and University of South Dakota (Vermillion). Applications include image acquisition and analysis in life sciences, formation and evolution of structures in the universe, Upper Missouri River basin hydrology, Landsat 7 related projects, and chemical imaging of interfacial processes. Collaborating institutions include NASA and USGS Upper Midwest Aerospace Consortium with University of Montana, University of Wyoming and University of Idaho and EROS Data Center, NCSA through EPSCoR participation in the PACI Program, NIH and several other federal laboratories.
