It is proposed to hold the Fifth Interdisciplinary Laser Science Conference in Stanford, California August 27-31, 1989. Topics to be covered include (1) lasers and coherent sources, (2) nonlinear optical phenomena and applications, (3) atomic, molecular, and ionic spectroscopy, (4) condensed matter, surface, and particle spectroscopy, (5) laser photophysics, photochemistry and photobiology, and (6) diagnostic and analytical applications of lasers.
