The purpose of the proposed contract is to develop, maintain and distribute animals from a standing colony of aged mutant, transgenic and knockout mice for use by investigators in studies of aging. Mutant models are important tools in the study of aging and provision for a supply of aged mutant models is essential to the achievement of NIA research objectives by NIA grantees.
